Fauci charging up to $100k for speaking engagements following retirement from NIH
WASHINGTON (TND) — Dr. Anthony Fauci is charging up to $100,000 for speaking engagements after departing from his position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
Fauci, who also stepped down from his post as the president’s chief medical advisor at the end of last year, is charging between $50,000 and $100,000 as his speaker fee, according to a listing on the website Leading Motivational Speakers.
“Anthony is a keynote speaker who’s career warrants execution under immense pressure that can alter the course of human existence,” the listing reads. “His work on domestic as well as global health issues has saved millions of lives. This high level of research, discovery and execution is amazing given the grave challenges he faces on a daily basis.”
News of Fauci’s heavy handed speaker fee raisedire from his critics on social media.
“Dr. Fauci should be under criminal investigation, not delivering public speeches for $100,000,”Vernon Jones, a former Georgia state representative who gained notoriety when he switched political parties,tweeted Monday.
“Seriously???” DeSantis stafferChristina Pushawtweeted.
Since 2019, Fauci has been the highest paid federal employee, according to watchdog group OpenTheBooks, which also estimated Fauci’s retirement package would be the largest in the federal government’s history with a first year payout exceeding $414,000.
Fauci’s net worth is as high as $12.6 million, OpenTheBooks also found, noting from 2019 through 2021 that evaluation jumped nearly $5 million.

According to Fox News, Fauci is expected to give the 2023 Yale medical school commencement address later this spring. In 2022, Fauci reportedly gave keynote addresses at commencement ceremonies for the University of Maryland, Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and The City College of New York.
